Research Board and Concept Board

This is my Research board, i gathered many images linking into armour, and created a board on photoshop.

 

 

 

Then from these images i collected i created a concept board, taking certain shapes of various armour and designing a graphic.

This craftsman designed armour for mice and cats to protect them from getting eaten by their predators, he has created an exoskeleton-like structure.

I really adore Paco Rabanne's collection, this has really inspired me to create textile samples just like these. And through my armour reasearch i know that 'Plate armour' would definately make a perfect link to this collection. The idea of armour being extremely feminine. This collection has now inspired me for my concet for this project.

We have to research a wide variety of armour, to get an idea for a concept and get an understanding of what armour is about. Also to you to create textile samples from them.
